What we built
A system built for the problem, not off the shelf.
We built a multi-branch LIMS from scratch, designed around the laboratory's actual test menu and regulatory obligations. The architecture treated traceability as a first-class requirement: every sample event — receipt, processing, review, authorisation, dispatch — was immutably logged with timestamp and operator identity.
Instrument interfacing was delivered via a ASTM/HL7 middleware layer that pulled results directly from analysers into the LIMS, eliminating manual transcription entirely. The result review workflow enforced a two-signature model for critical and out-of-range values.
A unified report generator produced branded, templated reports for all test types across all branches. The billing integration extracted billable tests automatically and passed them to the accounts system without manual intervention.
